Welcome to Melbourne Airport, Australia's second busiest airport. This video focuses on the late night operations at the airport. Melbourne Airport is a "curfew free airport" meaning that planes have no restrictions on when they can and can't arrive and depart the airfield. Because of this, lots of airlines, specifically to South East Asia and the Middle East chose to operate late at night for better connection times and cheaper airport fees.

This video is filmed over the course of an entire year, composed of some of the better clips I've managed to film of a lot of different airlines from a range of different angles for your viewing experience. Recording at Melbourne Airport at night is extremely difficult as it's located in a rural part of Melbourne, meaning city light pollution doesn't help brighten up the footage, and when shooting along the famous operations road, you're filming backlit against the terminal lights.

Nighttime at Melbourne also see's a lot of domestic freight planes, ranging from smaller BAe-146s & 737s, all the way up to 747s and 777s from Sydney.
