Today I post the main mission of my trip to China: the massive abandoned Soviet aircraft carrier Minsk, the second aircraft carrier or 'heavy aviation cruiser' of the Kiev class. The Minsk was laid down in 1972 and got commissioned in 1978. The Minsk was saved from scrap in 1998 and opened as a theme park in 2000. The ship is abandoned since 2016, but reconversion started a few days after my visit.
